Welcome to my corner of the airwaves. This site documents my experience in amateur radio—from initial curiosity to my first contacts.

My Experience

My start in amateur radio was purely driven by curiosity. I decided to see what it was all about, studied intensely for just two days, and went in for my testing. I'm proud to say I passed and earned my callsign, KI5ZJV.

I'm currently keeping my setup simple and effective. I primarily operate using my Baofeng UV-13 Pro and my Explorer 1 handhelds. It goes to show you don't need a massive tower to get started in this hobby.

This site serves as a place for me to keep track of what I'm learning and to share the resources that helped me hit the ground running.
